Oven cleaning with baking soda and vinegar

You can use a commercial cleaner. But, at what price? Some cleaners contain harsh chemicals that you don’t want to use in the kitchen.

Self-cleaning: Many ovens include a self-cleaning feature. This feature allows for easy cleanup. It’s very convenient and we highly recommend you not use it. The self-cleaning process heats to 427+ Celsius, so it can cause damage to your oven.

OR

You can clean it naturally. This is what we recommend and it is the best option. If you do it correctly, it’s likely to be much easier than you realize.

Step 1: Get Ready

First gather all your ingredients (baking soda and vinegar, water), then remove the oven racks.

For now, you will only need to add one cup of baking soda and six teaspoons of water. Combine the mixture until it becomes a paste.

Step 3 – Apply the solution

Apply the solution using a sponge. Be generous, especially in areas that are very soiled.

Step 4: Grab your spatula

You may be able to peel off any stuck-on bits by using a spatula. Be careful if your oven has a self-cleaning feature. You should not scrape too hard as it can cause damage to your oven’s Pyrolytic coating. This is required for self-cleaning.

Let the baking soda solution sit overnight.

Step 5: Add the vinegar

Use a spray bottle to apply vinegar to the oven’s interior the next day. After letting the vinegar soak for a few minutes, you can use a sponge or a bucket full of warm water to clean out your oven.

Step 6: Enjoy your sparkling clean oven
